Anyone ever notice that the Treo 700wx seems to be faster than the PPC-6800 and seems to use less ram?

Alright, so I didn't really want to chime in here.. But I must.

I installed the HTC Home Plugin a few days ago and OMG.. I haven't had a single memory issue since I purchased my Mogul. After 3 days without a soft reset I would normally still be running 19-20mb free. Now with the plugin I am down to 9.49mb after a few hours.

I know the software isn't official and I have no right to complain, but man.. I'm ready to just go back to my good old screen and call it a day.

Pretty sure most of the Mogul problems in general are software related...

Sluggishness, crashing, low memory. It runs great right after a hard reset.

The 700wx was built from the 700w which had 32mb ram. Palm did some major optimizations for the 700w because of its low amount of RAM. The 700wx was essentially the same device, but with double the RAM. All those optimizations stayed and resulted in a lower memory footprint than most other WM5 phones.
