sorry riviera, i kinda did bail on this topic, but i got so fustrated with trying

and i know that these are rstp streams because all the links started with rstp

what makes me the most angry is that wmp has codecs to recognize these streams, but not to play them, msoft has to be aware of this

and just like you riviera, ive tried dozens of players to no avail, youd think with +5 yrs of the ppc being on the market, someone would have atleast capitalized on a stream player

stage6.divx.com worked fine, on the video i tried. i have the flash video bundle 1.3.1 installed on top of tcpmp 349. it's a little choppy, even on wi-fi, but i mean just barely, and easily watchable. however, i was unable to pull a divx movie from my pc over to watch it (said it didn't recognize the file format). i also had a problem pulling an avi over to watch, but that's probably because i used a codec to encode it that the phone lacks (i probably used xvid)

Maybe a fix!!

I found this over on xda-developers!!! Will this work for rstp on the mogul???

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ight=streaming

I'd try it myself, but I'm a noob and I'm having some issues already.

try slingbox

If you are trying to watch videos, you can get a dvr and a slingbox. You need a broadband connection at home, but you will be available too watch tv or any other remote control video device from your home to your 6800.

Take a look at this website:

Great Video Streaming Link Site

I also just got my slingbox this week, but haven't had a chance to set it up yet. I cannot wait.

Check out URLSnooper 2. It's a free download that helps you identify URLs for streaming video -- even when the URL is otherwise hidden: http://www.donationcoder.com/Softwar...per/index.html

You can then try cutting and pasting directly into PPC media players or try creating custom channels at www.orb.com.

thanks alot

my only problem is that wmv streams are still jumpy on the mogul, as well as wmv files, thanks for linking this tho

i tried tcpmp and media player, i learned a small trick from a friend who has a ppc that in tcpmp, when playing a wmv file, they run better at slower speeds, and true enough, they do, but that defeats teh purpose of live

Re: Streaming Tv and video websites

Came across this and wanted to post that I know this is an old post, but it's amazing to see how many of these died or went under so quickly. TV Links is no more, Stage 6 died and was replaced by many other divx hosts like (PutFile or MovShare). The second url changed to FreeTube - Watch TV Online for Free with 100s of Live Internet Channels and now there are lots of legal options like Hulu and Crackle.

It's come so far!
