The whole point of me posting in the first place was because people started slamming a device that no one in here, other than the first poster apparently, has even held at this point. Verizon has yet to release, and everyone is passing judgement on a device based on a single picture in an engadget article from February.

The fact remains that the d-pad on the Mogul has been criticized in several reviews. I would consider these reviews to be from reputable companies, but if you want to consider them personal opinions, that's fine. Your post is more of a personal opinion than anything else, and since the line has to be drawn somewhere, I'm going to put a little more weight on reviews than I will your post.

I never post in PPCGeeks, and why would I? The Verizon release thread has 51 posts, PDAPhoneHome's Verizon release thread has 1,922 posts, and the HowardForums release thread (the 3rd one) already has 829 posts. Granted, no one in any of these threads knows much of anything since Verizon is so damn tight-lipped. At least I don't get slammed in those threads for stating the obvious.

PS - Your turn to find reviews stating how great the d-pad is on the Mogul. Seriously, go find one that says it is as great as you claim.

PPS - At least Verizon's will come with MMS built-in. Didn't Sprint learn not to release devices prematurely when they released the 6700 without MMS?

PPPS - Sorry to sound like a Sprint hater, but if you have Sprint in my market, you'd be better off carrying a rock around in your pocket and trying to make calls with it. My wife had Sprint, and she couldn't get a signal on the top floor of the highest building downtown. Sprint is the 2nd largest carrier in my market, behind Verizon. Yeah, and in a CSA with over 1.2 million people, they still haven't launched EV-DO?!?

Actually, I never personally said anything about the Sprint Mogul, I have said from my first post, that the d-pad was criticized, but I never said by me. You said, "I haven't ever heard anyone criticize the D-PAD, and yet you say it is the MOST criticized part of the MOGUL", and then you continued on to say I was on drugs.

I'm waiting for two things, actually 3:

1. Quotes from reputable sources supporting your d-pad comments. I have provided my quotes, so it's your turn.

2. A reason why you're in a thread that is obviously intended for people awaiting the Verizon XV6800 release.

3. My XV6800.

People waiting for the Verizon XV6800 could honestly care less about how the XV6800 looks compared to the Mogul, and we really don't care what Mogul users think about it.

Keep waiting there buddy I'm not wasting any more time on you, especially your whacked out demands????? I don't know who you think you are, trying to tell me what to do, but you make me laugh.

The reputable sources are everyone who actually has a Mogul and use it daily, most seem to be quite happy with the dpad.

Why am I posting in this thread, I won't even bother with that one. Why are you?

Unlike you I am not biased against a machine just because who the provider is, my brother actually has a xv6700 and I like it as much as my ppc6700. I'm sure the xv6800 will be a great machine too, and I can't wait to hear more.

Done

The Verizon pad may be way better, But I don't know because I haven't tried it, I was just saying the 6800 pad wasn't a problem as he implied (without ever even touching one himself it sounds like)

I'm very relaxed
That would be your opinion. So I guess we really shouldn't listen to it right?

Kind of late to specify you were referring to reviews, don't you think?

I'm in Canada, no Sprint or Verizon here. After reading these last posts of yours I can only come to the conclusion that you are a Verizon fanboy.

In case you still don't understand that reviews from individuals having operated the device for an hour are mostly worthless, I suggest you go back and read all the idiots who doomed the Nintendo Wii from the start. You want the real deal, read user forums where you'll notice there is hardly a post to be found on the d-pad. Your comment of Most Criticized is mostly BS.

There is no accounting for taste, but for me the xv6800 looks like those $10 imitation cellphones people buy for their kids at Wal-Mart.
