DisablePowerManagement

Quote:
Code:
Power Management for Hermes - Increase Battery life

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms]
"DisablePowerManagement"=dword:1
Change to
"DisablePowerManagement"=dword:0

... Stuff Deleted for brevity

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms]
"DisablePowerManagement"=dword:1
Change to
"DisablePowerManagement"=dword:0
i think this just about quadrupled my battery life. its unbeleivable. i took my phone off the charger 29 hours ago, and i havent hesitated to use it. it dropped to 60% a little bit ago, but back up to 70% after i had it on the cable for a couple minutes to sync.
I started to post this, then told myself I have to have missed it so I checked again... I cannot find the DisablePowerManagement string in the Titan ROM dump...

So the question is, did I miss it, or is it a placebo?

Geoff

I just did the changes on my phone - all the settings are definitely there to be adjusted. I didn't patch my ROM either, if that helps.

With the beams disabled, weatherpanel fix, and these registry changes, the battery life is finally at where I thought it should have been.

I don't have to charge my phone every night anymore.

The key might not be there - adding it works fine.

I've done these power management reg settings on the 6700 and the mogul. They really help quite a bit.

It's just some registry changes. I would imagine the alltel has the same registry entries as the Sprint version, so you just use a reg editor like Resco to make the changes and do a soft reset.

Resco File Explorer isn't free and it comes with other tools other than just a registry editor, one of the reasons it's popular.

Any registry editor that works on your device will do.
