Well I sent an e-mail about my contract to see if it got extended when I purchased the phone and it is the same. It never changed when the lady told me it will be an additional 2 years. I also checked this morning and the credit is still there. Here are the signs of a free phone so far:
1. No 18 dollar upgrade fee charged to my account or credit card. (wasn't included in the price of the phone) 2. Contract did not extend 3. Have a giant credit in my account. I am still hoping nothing gets "fixed"! |

Sorry to break it to you but you're not getting a free phone. That's just the way Sprint does it. They charged you up front for the phone so they could send it out to you. Since you've already handed that money over to them it is showing up on your account as a payment. When they write up your bill, the phone, activation fee, and any other charges will be on there and that credit you see will go toward paying it.

Yeah that's how it worked for me. but i don't wanna burst your bubble, hopefully you will get a free phone, it's not like they can't afford it.

Wait for few more months and they will charge it. This happened to me. I bought a 6700 before, got a big credit on my account after 4 months they charged it right back. i called and tried to complain they won. of course they will.

Thanks Guys.
Now I understand how confusing Sprint is with charging things. I thought I was getting the upper hand this time. Wow 4 months though? That isn't right since I have automatic billing so it will start taking out of that and when they charge me then BAM, I will have a big cell phone bill. The way they bill just lead to future problems. |
