Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Thank you Tierman! Easy App! I like the option to have a program start when you slide out.

I'm having similar issues. I installed it and it worked great at first, now I get a message from time to time saying the program needs to be restarted. Then it wouldnt work at all even upon soft reset , even though the sounds played fine when I preview them on the program. I uninstalled it and now im getting a .exe error even though I cant find the program anywhere on my PPC, I have a t-mobile wing btw

Look in \Windows\Startup. The shortcut for slidesoundservice is probably still there.

Ok cool, sorry If im being a pest but would you have an idea why it works for a bit then it doesnt? This program is really cool because editng the registry is cumbersome and so far im 1-3 in setting up custom sliding sounds via registry, I got it to work once, then needed to hard reset a few weeks later (unrelated) and since then I cant get it to work, and this was promising and im not losing hope, I LOVE the Transformers sliding keyboard sound LOL

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Thanks so much man! I'm glad I exercised patience, I was this close < > to hard resetting my device. I am going to attempt to re-install, do you recommend install onto device or to storage card

If anyone can give me a general idea as to what should be installed on memory card as opposed to device that would rock! I assume plug ins should be installed to device, but what about things like custom dial pads and comm managers? So far I've installed them to my device but if i can install to memory card without issues that would be great since the Wing doesnt have much memory as it is

If anyone is interested I have transformer sliding sounds and star trek door wav files

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

I'm not sure why it's not working right for Wing. I don't have one to test.
I will write a "scheme" manager for the stock HTC Sliding Sound though soon so users who can't use slidesound but have the stock Sliding Sound can change or create schemes without having to edit the registry.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

This is for those of you (on the wing, titan, etc) who use HTC Sliding Sound. I should have something to test later tonight. It includes the basic scheme choosing and on/off controls as the normal Sliding Sound control panel in settings->personal, but also a way to edit and create schemes without editing the registry manually.

It will also have a better browse dialog which allows you to search all folders. I'll be copying that over to my SlideSound too for version 1.08 in the next few days.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Ok. Beta is up for testing. Play buttons are the only thing that isn't finished yet, but settings are automatic so all you have to do is check a scheme and slide to test.

Again, this is only for people using the HTC Sliding Sound, not for those of you using my SlideSound app.

Download and place anywhere on your pocketpc to install.

Requires .Net Compact Framework 2.0 or higher, just like everything else I write. .. even this post needs 2.0

http://ppckitchen.org/misc/SlidingControl.exe

Edit: Play buttons now work and also fixed an issue with the Edit/remove scheme options being available when nothing is highlighted.
