Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

I have something called "Keyboard Sliding Sound" in my settings folder on my Wing (wm6). That seems to control my sliding sounds, and SlideSound is not. Keyboard Sliding Sound is part of my ROM. How can I get rid of it?

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

You can't get rid of it, but you can disable it. Go into the settings for it and uncheck the box.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

It still doesn't work. How can I verify that SlideSound has control over my device. btw, when I hit "test" it plays the sounds and runs the programs fine. They are just not happening when I open/close the keyboard.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

If the service is running and you have the "Play Sound" box checked for slide in/out then it should play the sound when the screen rotates.

I've tested it with Titan which also has the "Sliding Sound" included and it works as long as it's disabled, and it was originally written for Apache, so those are the only 2 devices that I know for sure it works on.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Duh. Didn't realize it was dependant on screen ORIENTATION. I had my device set to always be in landscape mode. Is there a way to switch to it actually sensing the keyboard position?

What I am trying to do, is to have me device turn off when you close the keyboard, just the way it turns on when you open the keyboard.

I am combining SlideSound with Vijay555

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Nope, sorry. There's no system event, registry change, or keypress triggered when the keyboard is opened or closed. Some people were trying to hook into the keyboard driver, but I haven't seen any progress.

It'd be easier if HTC just had it trigger the KeyboardPresent state.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

disabled Keyboard Sliding Sound, and "started" SlidingSound, but it doesn't make any sound now. Tests fine in SlidingSound, but SlidingSound does not appear to "control" my device.

Re: REQ: Sliding KeyPad Sound CAB

Never mind. Screen rotation again. I guess, for the sounds I want I should install the sounds, and change the registry values.
