MetrpPCS question

*** SORRY I DID NOT SEARCH FOR IT, IM AT WORK TRYING TO LEAVE SO I THOUGH I'LL POST THE QUESTION***
My little cousin has a mogul with metropcs service... I was wondering if he flash his ROM, for example with the DCD 4.1.2. is it going to erase his metropcs settings/configuration like his esn ect...?
