Re: HTC Mogul Wap/MMS problem.

Which Resco version are you using? When I went to try and changing the Iota, it said it was not possible. Those files are "Read-Only". Are you running custom ROM?

Here's what I did:

First install resco.

Second: Refer back to the pdf you supplied and put the dummy "HTC_CM_Guardian.exe" onto your sd card. Should have been in a zip file with pdf.

Third: Use resco to access your SD card and copy the HTC dummy file, then use resco again to access your windows folder. Then copy the dummy into your windows folder. You will be prompted with a warning about deleting files on your rom...click continue.

Fourth: Change all your IOTA stuff

Fifth: Restart your phone. No need for reset, just hold power button down.

After doing this I was able to delete my sprint settings without having them restore automatically

Hope this works for you. Let me know if it does.

Also, the guide does not seem clear to me on this part.

5: Goto Connections and delete any existing connections and setup a new one using the following settings: Number to dail = #777 Username: yourtendigitphonenumber@mymetropcs.com Password: metropcs Domain: (Leave Blank) Select Proxy Settings and enter the following values: wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (http)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (wap) wap.metropcs.net port:443 (secure wap) wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (socks) 6: Back in the "Connections" screen where you have two tabs at the bottom of the screen of "Tasks" and "Advanced", go to Advanced, click on "Select Networks" and select the name of the connection you just setup. Example if you leave as Sprint then choose that one as your internet connection and do it for both settings. MMS MAKE SURE YOUR WEB IS WORKING PROPERLY

Did he mean delete all existing connections or change it?

Re: HTC Mogul Wap/MMS problem.

You can change it or delete it. I like just deleting the Sprint Connections altogether.

This is how I deleted Sprint Connections.

Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>Manage existing connections>General> Then click on box that says "Delete Settings"

Then when you go back into connections you should see "MY ISP" and under that click on "Add a new modem connection" then add your metro stuff.

After that go back to connections and click on "Manage existing connections" and make sure your Metro connection is selected as the one to use when an app requires internet.

I use Resco Explorer 2007 v6.17
Mine came with a 30 day trial period.

Two questions for ya:
1. how are you installing resco?
2. please list all the steps you take to get to the IOTA files. Include tapping start, etc.

I got it now. After 25-35 angry calls to the idiots up at corporate. I decided to just go back to an old friend. Problem here is......Hard to phrase without getting b4/\/. MID,MSID are NOT you #. That was what I was stuck on. They specially provide a MID/MSID for you......Phone is completely functional.

Re: HTC Mogul Wap/MMS problem.

Glad you got it working. Not sure what city or network you are on, but if it's metro then your phone configuration for your area is different than mine.

I just double checked my EPST and my MSID IS MY 10 digit # and I have full internet with mms...
