...maybe hperry is on to something... any cell techs out there want to confirm either way?

I second this , it is like this is a myth , I did the exact same thing as above and got the same results.

Re: Anyone else missing their first couple rings?

well the first 2 months i had my phone i missed almost 30% of my calls because either a) didnt reach it in time before voicemail got it or b) didnt get the call at all

People always asked why it took so long to answer, well when I found this fix, I set my SCI to 0 and since then I rarely if ever lose a call to voicemail because it only rang once. Everyone I personally helped with changing this have reported the same success, so it isnt just 'placebo' effect, it has actual results. And why set to 1, go straight to 0.

some people have said that setting it to 0 kills your batteries.
After I upgraded to the new rom 3.35 and have my SCI to 1, i am now getting it on the first ring. ( I had it set to 1 with 2.17 and it would pick up on the 2nd/3rd ring on the avg). Anybody else noticed that there is less delay with the new rom?

Re: Anyone else missing their first couple rings?

Well i set mine to 0 and have since my first htc phone and it makes all the difference to me.
It is a noticeable difference with incoming calls and also I have not had batteries issues with it not holding a charge.
