free data roaming in canada....not

well....

so today i wake up and see a text message saying my spending limit is almost reached. the problem is that i was ~$380 from my spending limit, but today im ~$25 away?? LOL

called csr right away and they said it was because of data roaming. now, i had called on 7/27 and CONFIRMED with a rep saying data roaming in canada was FREE! he even sounded surprised and said "enjoy!"

luckily the rep was able to put a note on the account saying to credit me any data charges from 7/27 until today so i wont have to pay it, but my concern is the false information that is being given out here.

Sending a TXT to a Canadian phone # (whether in the US or Canada) .15/txt
Sending a TXT to a US phone # while in Canada: Free
Using Data services while in Canada: Free

I didn't get long distance fees though.

I was just in Canada. The CS told me that they charge .01 for each KB.

i had 2 reps put notes on the account that they would credit me back the amount and the second rep saw thenotes from the first one. i hope its resolved before by next bill is due.

I think the rep you spoke to was just confused or not listening to you when you said Canada. There is no free roaming anywhere outside of the US.

im gonna start recording sprint convos. i just need to find that program. the thing is 2 reps confirmed it. one on my end and another user on SD did too. oh well.

Impossible to do on the Mogul. It really sucks losing that functionality that was always available on PalmOS.
