Stock 6800 Hard buttons stopped working

Thats what I figured, but the rep told me that he would try to get me a touch pro. Anyway it came on Sat and it was the 6800. Now it just going to be a pain turning my new one "into my old one." One nice thing though is now I have WM 6.1 instead of the older 6. Hopefully I like it.

I am having the same problem with the buttons not working. However I am confused on why I can do a hard rest holding down the two soft keys and it works as it should. However when the phone is running the buttons don't work. So the buttons do work just not when the phone is running. Any help would be appreciated.

Well my friend, with that statement you have just ruled out any hardware problems. If the device will allow you to do a hard reset, the buttons physically work. So my guess is software causing them not to work.
I had a camera not work after i did a ROM upgrade.
I had to load the 6.1 stock rom from HTC, then load my cooked ROM and that fixed it. The hardware works fine, but the softare that manages it got corrupted somehow.

Hopefully you will be able to get it all figured out without having to replace the device.
