It does not work over WiFi, that's why it won't with with a total data block (it actually uses data, but you won't get charged for it).

MMS will not work without a DATA connection, if you are trying to send pics use an email account and attach it to the email (you can use wifi for this)

Good point, you can always email a pic through WiFi but having working MMS is way more convenient.

I had an xv6800 for months with no data plan & sent MMS all the time. There was never a charge for it, but I had to make 100% sure I never accidentally connected to data for any other reason.

I disabled the phones ability to dial #777 so that I didn't need a data block that would have prevented MMS from working at all.

Ok, from what I know and what I believe, you have to have a data plan to do MMS because it will not work on WiFi. But, if you guys are also agreeing WiFi wont work but that you do not have a data plan or are disabling your device from connecting to data, then what method of 'connection' is being used to send MMS?

MMS uses data, if you disable it (or have a data block) it will not work period.

You DO NOT have to pay for an unlimited data plan to use MMS however (& you won't ring up data charges as long as you don't use data for anything but MMS).

Ok, I think I understand. It is confirmed theat MMS needs a data plan available and not blocked but its MMS usage doesnt count against Kb usage, right?
