cab downloading

When im browsing on my mogul and want to download a cab, when i click on the link, it doesnt ask me if i want to save it, it loads it like a html page and i see squiggles and crap. I went into the registry into HKCR and added "content type = application/x-msdownload" and it didnt help. HELP

naa when i hold it, just the normal menu comes up. copy, select all, etc. sometimes if i copy the link and send it as a txt to myself when i click on that it prompts me to save it. but it doesnt happen all the time...

pocket ie.

i tried opera mini, but i guess since its loaded in java it cant do downloads, i always get a memory full error

I see what you mean. I just tried and was unable to download. PIE tried to open the cab file as a text page. Weird.

I use the WM native version of Opera Mobile and it works to download the files that Pocket IE screws up on.

"PIE Plus" also adds an extended context menu to Pocket IE, amongst other features, that allows you to "Save As..." any link.
