All I know is that my Mogul it'll last days with light/no use. For instance - I had my phone off (the phone itself was on, but I never turned on the screen) all day yesterday. Only took off 10% of the battery.

I think you have a junk battery.

Battery is now holding charge?

Started this thread awhile ago...all of a sudden my battery seems to be doing alot better - only thing i can figure out- have started using ilauncher and it has a tweak that I checked- "use polling method for battery" - also, had been testing spb mobile shell & pocket plus and deleted them..................otherwise, can't figure it out - has held a charge at 100% for 1 1/2 days with phone on..............

Well I have seen a DRAMATIC dip in my battery. At first I could go 1 1/2 days on a charge. I noticed a huge difference as soon as I loaded the new ROM on it. Has anyone else noticed a difference with the new ROM? None of my programs have changed.

I've had my phone for a little over a week. Battery power sucks! I use my phone moderately, mostly calls and a little internet, and I don't have any programs installed except Opera Mini beta version. I've done all of the battery saving options on the phone everyone else is mentioning, and I even put it in sleep mode immediately when not using the phone. Battery power is almost gone by late afternoon. A couple times it died on me completely by 7:00 pm. I love the phone but low call volume and lousy battery life are putting a damper on my joy of owning this phone.

I noticed HTC's suggestion of not charging the phone for more than 4 hours. I plug mine in before I go to bed and unplug it in the morning when I wake up. Like who is going to get up in the middle of the night at the 4 hour mark to unplug their phone? Never had a problem with charging any battery overnight on any other phone. What a ridiculous statement!

Asking the user of a phone to switch it to flight mode so it will last a day is just not reasonable. This has nothing to do with knowing how to use a device. It's just poor performance and very low standards, period.
Flight mode turns everything including the phone off. I need my phone to be on all the time unless I'm in flight.

I think it is dying that fast because the signal where I work is very weak and the phone constantly looking for a signal. Is there a way to disable this?

This is my first PDA. My Sanyo M1 was holding battery pretty well for those 8 hours at work.
Even with a weak signal, it should be practically IMPOSSIBLE for the battery to die in 2 hours because you have all the data services basically disabled (direct push, no IM clients running I assume, no wifi, no BT, etc).

I ordered the extended battery from wirelessground. I will report on the battery life after I've had a chance to use it. Hope it helps.

What I was thinking is, if your signal is so bad you aren't getting reception put the thing in Flight mode to conserve battery. You cant use the phone any ways if you aren't getting a signal, searching for a signal all the time kills your battery. Just to clarify

Wow, i'm surprised at all these problems people are having with their phones and the battery life. I've taken my phone off the charger at 8pm, went over to a girls place, used it for like 15 minutes or so to talk to her on my way to her place, next morning around 11am i check my phone and it still says 100% on the battery, so battery life for me seems to be great. Even with moderate txting for 8 hours after i take it off will only get me no less the 50% or so.
