Re: HTC PPC6800 Hard Keys UnResponsive

i have a mogul that has the same problems with the buttons, could that be a good enough reason to get an insurance replacement? i usually have to do a hard reset about once a week, or mainly when i need them for something important

Cool Re: HTC PPC6800 Hard Keys UnResponsive

This is definitely a software issue (the unresponsive buttons "respond" when performing a hard reset...) Also, with my keyboard out, I can get the buttons to work but only after pushing the "blue dot" (bottom left corner of keypad.) So, the buttons definitely work. (Currently using wheel as camera button...) I've read something about returning to original rom to fix. Has anyone tried it, and if so...does it work?

Thanks!

yes, flashing a stock SHIPPED (your carrier) rom will completely re-write some area's that cooked roms do not. it's a common way to "start from zero" so to speak. if everythings fine, it should be fine when you go custom again.
