To my knowledge, this will only work on PPC phones. The VOX is a smartphone so it shouldn't work on it.

Glad its working for you. This app only disabled the flashing green service LED, so the bluetooth LED will not be affected.

Not complaining by any means because I love this app for getting rid of that annoying damn light.. but I have noticed that it still flashes like once every five minutes or something. Was watching tv in the dark with the PPC sitting on my chest and all of a sudden it flashed. Just once. Then it did it again a while later. Weird.

No big deal though, there is no longer that constant flash, so yay. Thanks stroths

It may be flashing to tell you that you have Notifications for email, sms or reminders waiting. Once you dismiss the Notifications, the blinking light should stop blinking and go dark.

It's not uncommon for a random single blink to occur every so often. You could modify the mortscript to run more often, but it would likely eat up more processing time. What its set to now seems to be the best for suppressing the LED most of the time while not being harsh on CPU usage.

Thats kinda what I was figuring.. Too bad there isn't just a registry setting that you can just turn that LED off so it doesn't eat any CPU.
But like I said, I'm not complaining about it. The program is a godsend to me!

Re: LED Killer 3.1

2/20/2008 - no2chem has finally cracked the code and came up with a better, permanent solution for killing the service LED here - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=18871

He now has an app called nueLED that will allow you to enable, disable or redirect LED functions for any of the LEDs (bluetooth, charging, service LED etc). More improvements to come.

NOTE: no2chem's nueLED should work with any HTC device and possibly other WM phones. My older LED Killer should work fine with phones other than the 6800 if you happen be unlucky enough to have a model of phone nueLED doesn't work with.

If nueLED will work with your device then use it over LED Killer as his method is so much cleaner, has more features and uses less system resources.

Re: LED Killer 3.1

I'm trying to figure out which one of these to use? Historically, on the 2.09 ROM, I THINK I had the 2.0 version, which shut off the LED for status, but turned it ON for new email, etc.

I have tried 2.0, and 3.1 here with the NEW ROM, and both just kill the LED complelty, so NO LED at all.

Is there one that does the following: Kills LED for status,
turns on for email alerts?
