help unlocking mogul spc/msl code

IM TRYING TO enable my internet sharing on my wm 6.1 mogul...when i try to change the reg key it says access denied. How do I over ride that?

Have you tried NueSPL-2.47... hope thats what u r looking for... I used this to unlock my mogul with an SD card

all you should need for internet sharing is wmwifirouter, its a one click operation to get you connected, you just have to make sure you change your proxy settings on firefox or ie to wap.mycricket.com:8080. works great i use it all the time(http://freewareppc.com/communication/wmwifirouter.shtml),
theres also internet sharing app does provide a lot more config options though, http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/04/....html#more-283

GetSPC does not work for Qwest brand Moguls. It might display something in the output but it is not the SPC or MSL (same thing) for Qwest. To get it you can follow this.

* Start your favorite pocket-pc terminal program (like pocketPutty - http://www.pocketputty.net/)
* Connect to com9 (Putty used default speed of 9600)
* type in AT+HTC_RMSL=0 and hit enter, your MSL will be displayed.
* Soft reset to restore phone functionality

Note:
PocketPutty DOES NOT have a local echo, so you will not see what you're typing. Just carefully type it in and your MSL will be the only number outputted.

If your spc is al 0's, you can usually call your provider to do an over the air programming which is usually automated, for Cricket its *228. If your spc is not all 0's you'll have to manually update it. The only way I knew what prl to use was bc I saw what was on my phone before I starting cooking it. But here is some info.
You can go to http://corolada.com/prl/ and download most PRL's(evdo and roaming) for free no signup. You can go to http://www.rainyday.ca/~dialtone/ to find what prl you should use. It will also tell you your SID/PID if you don't know it.
Once you find the prl you need just dl it and transfer to sd, open epst, go to prl, press browse, look for it, apply settings and soft reset. And you should be good to go. Make sure you find the prl which supports what you have and want ie. EVDO Rev A & roaming if you have it. Hope this helps

so heres the story... im trying to enable the internet sharing on a sprint wm 6.1. when i go to edit the reg and make changes it says access denied. So im trying to get around that. I read that sometimes carriers lock it so it cant be messed with..

the fone was unlocked for mobi already but they said that the code dont work or something like that...idk what the hell they were talking about...lol

i followed the steps of the 2nd one and it didnt show the msl
what it showed was:
$HTC_CSQ: 3,3
$HTC_CSQ: 1,3
$HTC_CSQ: 1,4
$HTC_CSQ: 1,3
and so on

lol that helped it worked awsome!!!!! you cant see what u put but when ur dont u press the round button on the fone n the msl will show
