Give the Noobs a break. We were all Noobs once. If you think someone should have searched, tell them. If they are double posting, tell them not to. A little direction goes a long way. And lets face it, we've all effed up our titans at one time or another. The Mods will get the forum squared away. And I am totally against limiting posting.

i noticed sum non-mogul users posted, so here i go. i feel i speak for both sides(believe it or not) i've asked some dumb "n00b" questions before(keep chuckles to yourselves please, lol, j/k), also i've spread the "search first" love before, too. and i wish i can delete some threads i've started, i can delete post, tho. As far as the "maintenance" of duplicate threads and stuff, like Coz said once before, "it's part of the beast" of the internet. i wudnt worry bout that as much as people posting, "yea, like _____ said" or blasting off on someone for not searching first, without answering the question....there are two edges to every sword, ya know? i know i personally have been deleting my posts like that as i come across them. But, now that i do speak on the issue, just to add to Crazychef, i cee ALOT of people with rep less then 200 with VIP status, but havent been a member of ppcgeeks since '06. most joined '07 early '08, 1000+ posts, less then 400 rep, tho JMO

So essentially, you are asking for some increased moderation around here? I can get behind that. Would prefer a much higher signal to noise ratio.

Keep in mind Mods do have other jobs other than just here Im sure. I know some of us have been around longer than others while those that are short lived are just as knowledgable. But overall as a community we TRY to get people to read first and then ask. Anyone who is decently experienced on the internet knows how to use Google and if not then please go back to Mars. But sometimes for Mods there are literally hundreds a threads a days started with thousands of posts to go through just to make sure everyone is being nice to each other. On the othe side of the fence there are the noobs who dont wanna read or dont understand what they are reading or just plain dont know where to start. Thats where the friendly community steps in and either spills the beans or directs the noobs on where to go. Believe me, if you take away that traffic alone, this board might get pretty boring like some others I see.
