Active Sync 4.5 Support Code 1

I have birthdays that aren't syncing to my desktop. I get support code 1 in the error box. I have googled and tried the below registry update with no help.

Click Start > Run and type the following: Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\ole32.dll

Click OK

Reboot your PC.

Sync again.

I know someone here has had this problem before. Any help is appreciated.
