It is minimized, but a pain in the butt! And not normal procedure for a windows smartphone.
Picture this, you're on a call. maybe 3 minutes, the screen shuts off, right? Ok now you want to check the time of the call, press power, BOOM, home screen, now you have to press the phone key to get to the phone app. Very nice huh? Well i got a replacement on the way, we'll see if i have better luck |

I just noticed I'm having the same issue, and it's rather annoying. Just installed Agile Mobile (kickass IM program, but pricey, so not sure I'll stick to it), and then my phone turned itself off after being inactive and when I turned it back on I was on the Today screen. Tried turning it off and back on myself, and sure enough, Today screen, no matter what program I'm in before that.
This is really annoying. I can survive it, but it's annoying. If anyone can figure this one out I'd be very grateful. |

I wonder why some are doing it and some aren't. Quill over at the SU board got one yesterday and for sure it does not. MountainDew also got one, and he is not having this issue. I will be getting my replacement shortly, we shall see if it has the problem.

Have you called a local store to see if they have any that they can replace for you?

I'm not entirely sure there's any point to having it replaced. This sounds in no way like a hardware problem to me. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it seems impossible for it to be a hardware problem. Something in the software is causing it, and unless there are some odd intangible differences between the software that's shipping on some devices and not others, it's likely a problem that will present itself again on your new unit when you configure it the same way as your old one.
We need to find the actual cause of this problem instead of merely exchanging our phones. |

If the man did a soft and hard reset on the phone and is still getting the issue, than it's something thats written wrong in coding somewhere in the phone. If others have reports if it not happening than that means it narrows it down to particular devices that have been affected by this issue, not the whole batch of 6800s. I say replace the phone, if you get the problem again, than thats when you start narrowing the problem down to whats actually causing it.

He's already said he has a replacement coming in the mail, so we just have to wait and see now.
It'd be a good to have both side by side so we can compare registry, versions, etc.
