Question about pic messaging

I was wondering if the pic text massaging has changed on the 6800. I like how it is on the Q. I hate having to sign online to see all the animations/pics... Do has it been changed on the 6800?

There is no built-in MMS program on the 6800.

Yes, you have to use the Sprint Picturemail website if you want to manage/view all your pictures.

Like the other poster said, the 6800 does not natively support MMS but you can install an application that lets you send MMS. You view incoming MMS messages through the web browser on the 6800.

This bothered me on T-Mobile's network with my Sidekick 3, but it doesn't bother me at all on Sprint. I just click the link, and it loads within a couple seconds, and I can save it. No biggie.

You can view Picture and Video Mail on the Mogul. It comes through as an SMS with a link just like any other Sprint phone, so there's no issue there. The Verizon MMS app works great, the only issue is that pictures you send don't get uploaded to the Picture Mail website. I don't think anyone has found a work around for that yet.

The problem I have with going to the Sprint site for the MMS is that it shrinks the attachments!!!! I've had people send the same thing to my email and to my phone. Normally it wouldn't matter but if someone has a nice camera phone for instance the file will be over 200Kb and the Sprint site shrinks it down to like 14Kb for a MAJOR loss in quality. I don't know why they would do that. Has anyone else noticed that, or found a work around?

well I downloaded the easy version and it wouldn't work at all. I then used my reg edit program and enabled editing of the server settings. Everything was okay but it said connect via internet instead of sprint. I changed it to sprint.

Now when i send a pic it says 2 error messages:

Erorr trying to make a data connection. This may be caused by a voice call, a wired ActiveSync connection or incorrect network settings.

Message could not be sent. An unspecified error (0x0) occured while sending this message.

_____

I'm on sprint with a sero plan. I can send emails and txt just fine. Any suggestions or guidence????

Thanks!!!!

yes, i tried that one first. That's what it was set to by default

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the easy .cab. Soft reset, etc.

I also took my regedit and enabled editing of the server and all of the settings are exactly as the directions say.

However, after messing with everything I now notice that I have a few options when I click send on a picture. It asks me to select an account and gives me these options:

SMS (greyed out)
MMS
Outlook E-Mail
Gmail with my gmail address next to it
MMS with userATuser.c0m next to it
New Pix Message (MMS) with userATuser.c0m next to it
New E-mail account tap to set up a new account

_________

sorry for writing the email addresses funny, i'm a new user and it won't let me post any web/email addresses

thanks in advance for your help guys
