2. After u download the file either directly to ppc or syncing the zip file over to your ppc, unzip it on ur ppc and install the cab file, then soft reset.

I'm going to try the manual install method, maybe it will make a difference.

I just tried it the manual way, and it didn't work either. However it did change my today screen background (I changed it back). I just uninstalled it, but could it have left anything else around that I should worry about cleaning up?

I have a PPC6800 and Alltel has been having some issue with Pic/Vid Messaging. They got it fixed today and it all works fine.

The issue I have is:

When i get a pic/vid message i get notify via windows since PA doesnt have any options on the default settings for pic/vid messaging. Anyway, once i get the message and use the windows menu to go to my pic message to view it all works.

Now comes the tricky part. Once I go to the message, view it and close it i go back to the today screen. If i click on my email or txt message icon on PA I can not access my messaging at all, txt, email, even if i go start/messaging it doesnt work. All other features of PA work fine, I can go to VM, missed calls, I can change profiles etc. I can even go into the set up section.

I can use all other aspects of my phone but once I click on PA it locks up my messaging feature.

Now if i open the pic/vid message, view it close it as before all works. Now if I DO NOT click on the email or txt icon on PA I can continue to use messaging fuctions like normail, but the second i tap on the email or txt icon on PA it locks up my messaging functions.

I have tested this 10 times at least and can duplicate it everytime I try it. What I need to know is how to fix this or what do I need to do to get you the information to fix it in the software. It seems it is a PA software issue since when I do not tap on PA icons all works fine. Also taping on the missed call, vm does not create this issue as they remain functional throughout the freeze of messaging.

Anyone else.. can you test this and see what happens on your 6800.

Is there a single SPECIFIC fix for the mms app synchronization error?

or is it still just troubleshoot it till it works??

or can people post their sprint settings, i see some people on altell have all diff settings, actually using a gateway and such... i just wanna know what works for everyone...
