You see it in the bubble that is displayed when you tap the Vision icon.

Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click ControlPanel
Click Phone
[at this point, the buttom grey status bar should read \HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone'
Click the bottom menu 'edit'
Select new dword value

Change the value name to "Flags2" (no quotes).
Select the 'hexidecimal' button.
Type 10
Click ok.
You should now see in the 'name/data' section:

Flags2 16 (0x00010)

When done, reset the device.

Anyone having problems with this one? I can see the time but no disconnect button?
Click the "EV" icon rather than the signal icon in your top task bar.

6-Speed up

Using a registry editor such as PHM RegEdit lookup and change the following three values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\Cac heSize=0x1000(4096)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\FATFS\Ena bleCache=0x1(1)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\f sreplxfilt\ReplStoreCacheSize=0x1000(4096)

19-FIX THE SLOW RINGER

To do this, you will need your MSL, which only Sprint (or your provider) can provide you. Open up the phone app and dial ##778# (PST). You will be asked to enter your MSL. Enter it, and you will be brought into the provisioning of your phone. From the top left, select Modem Settings. On this page, your Slot Cycle Index (SCI) is how often your phone polls the tower for incoming calls, etc. This value is 1.28 seconds multiplied by 2^value (i.e 0=1.28 secs, 1=2.56secs) with 0 fastest, 7 slowest. The default is 2, but lowering it to 1 hasn't noticeably affected my battery life, and roughly 2.5 second (SCI 1) response time is far more reasonable than roughly 5 seconds (SCI 2)

-----------------------------------------------------

When done, reset the device.

This is about the only registry hack I have tried to do other than the NAI Modem hack. Only thing is, I can't get the dialer to dial the code. Which dialer is it that prevents you from dialing phone codes such as ##778#? Is it the Picture Speed Dialer or the dialer that changes the actual dial for numbers? A friend of mine gave me a code to use in order to get the MSL, but it doesn't work while a dialer is in use, I'm trying to figure out which one. I was able to uninstall my dialer, but I can't uninstall the Picture Speed Dialer. I've just about uninstalled everything, but its still there.

The touch dialer breaks the ##codes. I have a Big Button, touch like dialer in alpha testing now. Should be able to release it this weekend. It is native so it supports the ##codes.

If you installed the touch dialer and it doesn't use the ##codes, it also doesn't do PRL updates, won't do enhanced 911, won't use any extended CDMA functions, has huge memory leaks, wrong icons, messed up roaming, etc. You just probably didn't know you were missing all these functions. You really should uninstall it.

Yeah this slowed mine down as well. Of course being a n00b I forgot to back up my registry to go back to the original settings. Does anyone have the default settings for this?

My defaults are:

CacheSize=0
EnableCache=1
ReplStoreCacheSize=0

Pretty simple changes

Yes. Make sure when you are creating the NEW KEY that you have the "Inbox" Selected so that it makes that new key as a sub folder to "Inbox". Then select that NEW KEY you just made and make sure it is highlighted. Then make NEW STRING so that it goes under that SETTINGS Key you just made.

It should look like this:

/MICROSOFT
+INBOX
-LdapInfo
-SendDriver
-Settings <-Location of New String
+Svc
