Stuck with GPS

I know there is a lot of info on the site relating to what I am going to ask and I have spent 10+ hours over the last few days looking through it all.

I am trying to get the GPS on my Verizon XV6800 working. Here is where I am currently at.

Radio: 3.42.40
Rom: dcd 3.2.6

Location: ON

GPS Info
Program port: COM4
Hardware Port: None
Baud Rate: 4800
Managing Automatically

Software: Mapopolis 4.7
Settings: COM4 and 4800

I have tried using GPS Viewer 1.5 to see if anything locates. No Luck

What I am missing?? What else could be tried?

P.S. I do not have nor plan on getting a data plan for this phone any time soon...So I am looking to make the GPS working as a standalone...not assisted

Did a search for GC hack at XDA...not seeing what I am supposed to be looking for I guess...do you have a link?

Thanks for the info....However, I did search as stated for 10+ hours. I also stated that I do not have a data plan nor plan on getting one...quick GPS need to download the current GPS location info in order to establish the connection quicker

What is your PRI version? Also, were you previously using the offical MR1 update?

The PRI Version: 2.03_002 and Yes I had done the "upgrade" to MR1..but have done 2 or 3 flashes since then trying to get the GPS to work.

Yeah. NEVER USE OFFICAL VERIZON UPGRADES! You know how verizon is, they wanna 50 and 100 their customers. They lock featues. You are now going to have to read on reverting back to the old PRI...

Ok....so I did some more searching and I have reverted back to a Verizon "non-GPS rom" Below is what my settings are at as of now..

ROM: 2.09.605.8
Radio: 1.30.60
PRI Version: 1.35_002



Soooooo???.....Where do I go from here so that I don't screw it up again..
