Streets & Trips on laptop using PPC and GPSgate?

I thought I saw a thread someplace addressing this subject, but after many searches I can't find it. Is it possible to link up GPSgate on my PPC6800 to MS Streets & Trips 2006 on my laptop (Sony FZ series w/bluetooth)? I don't care if it's via bluetooth or USB. I want to do this so I can get very accurate route tracks on off-road trails and then print maps from it. Plus, on-road, the screen is much bigger for the navigator to look at.

Right now, I'm using iG4 with GPSgate and it's OK, but it seems to be a bit unstable. Don't know if this would be any better.
