What are the must haves for vx6800?

That is an awesome tutorial, but it makes it seem more complicated than it really is. There are only three, sometimes four steps you need to follow.

1. unlock the phone

2. flash to a gps capable radio

3. flash whatever ROM you decided on

4. install the verizon carrier cab if needed

Then, you dial *228 & pick option 1 & you're done 99% of the time...........

got it unlocked.... flashed the radio.. in the process of flashing the custom rom!! thanks guys. it is working good now. i had to pull my head out of my a$$

Ok got the rom flashed. works great now... now i think i may need the carrier cab... how do i tell if i need that or not?

I'm still on Verizon's stock 6.1 ROM but HAVE enabled the GPS.

FWIW a few more favorite apps I have on mine:

• C-ApiSRO (XM and Sirius over your internet connection... must be a paying XM/Sirius subscriber)
• PHMRegEdit - if you're already flashing... you'll be comfortable with tweaking the registry too
• PPCPimBackup - great back up utility
• vjcandela - small app that turns your camera flash into a flashlight (has come in handy more than once)
• zaptit!12 - I have this mapped to a hardware button to close apps completely

Mint... You need the carrier CAB for whatever carrier you have... Get the Verizon CAB...

Are you using a kitchen? They should be included in the kitchen.. I searched here and can't find it...

no kitchen... just used a Rom ...d2d rom

edit: gOT THE CAB. IT WAS IN THERE THE WHOLE TIME.(CABS FOLDER)
