Re: Is it possible to delete all contacts/appointments w/o a Hard Reset?
You have two possible ways...
Your best bet is if you have all the CAB files for the programs you have... You could Hard Reset your phone and then reload the programs back onto the phone, either from Active Sync or from downloading the CAB back onto your phone... Or you can individually delete each contact and appointments... Without a Hard Reset, there is no way that I know of to delete sets of information without doing it manually... I know its a pain.. |

Delete you pim.vol file in your root directory. Its holds all your contact info. You might have to rename it to pim1.vol and then reboot so the device will re-create a new pim.vol and then allow you to delete the original one.

Another option is doing an SPB Backup of only programs and junk. Then hard resetting and backup. That way no personal data is there...

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can do that.
I sold a 6800 a while back & tried to do that & I remember it wasn't quite that easy. As it turned out, the guy I sold it to was planning to try different ROM's etc & didn't care about all the programs I had installed so I simply hard reset it. ~John |

Yeah I though if you did it that way you would have to delete one at a time. Thats why I thought deleting the pim.vol would be the way to go w/o hard resetting but then I dont wipe my device that often.

I'm not sure why you can't just do a ctrl A & then hit delete, but I know I tried that & it wasn't that simple. ~John |
