I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can do that.

I sold a 6800 a while back & tried to do that & I remember it wasn't quite that easy. As it turned out, the guy I sold it to was planning to try different ROM's etc & didn't care about all the programs I had installed so I simply hard reset it.
