Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Why would i be kidding? Now first off, i'm not arguing the fact that the mogul has some flaws. Second, i never said the mogul was a better device over the touch pro. All i was getting at was there's some things i like about the mogul, that the TP doesn't have. And like me, some people may have been a little less jumpy to get a TP if the mogul had more ram.
I agree with some of the advantages you listed, but appearance? That is more of an opinion that fact. I very much plan on getting a touch pro in the future, but i still wish it had more buttons instead of a g-sensor. And who knows, maybe in year there will be a "lets recall the Touch Pro" thread 'cause of over-heating, dying while charging, screen discoloration, low volume through the earpiece/speaker, and laggy accelerometer. I hope not because it's what i'll be using. dschoenike |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Just answering your question and expressing my reasoning. Any product that needs to be recalled should be recalled, or failing that, make the individuals "complaining" happy with a refund, rebate, upgrade, etc.
loving the TouchPro thus far |

100% agree. i've complained with 3 emails, and all it's gotten me so far is an offer to buy the pro at $249.99. guess my issues aren't big enough for them.

The lack of buttons, as you mentioned, for the Touch Pro has made be against buying it. I won't get it until Sprint runs out of Moguls and I'm in no rush for that to happen. I want the more RAM, but that is the ONLY thing I want from the Touch Pro. Using the Touch Pro in store frustrated the hell out of me due to the lack of even essential buttons. Like the lack of a Start, OK, and Right or Left Soft Keys to name a few on the hardware keyboard. I ran No2Chems NueRom -M 201 for the Mogul for a day (has some issues I didn't like) and IE 6 seems to run just fine on his rom, but I was in High Memory mode when I ran it. |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Hi everyone, I too have many problems with the mogul, but I have never turned it in for a refurb. I haven't because I wouldn't want to a mogul worse than the one I already have, which isnt that bad, but there are flaws on HTC's part. Just wondering, could a recall actaully happen, or in my eyes, is it too late?

That's all there is to it, despite the title of this thread, it's really more of a "force Sprint to allow you to upgrade to the TouchPro from the Mogul by complaining about the flaws/limitations of the Mogul and replacing your device until your satisfied w/ your new TouchPro" thread. Now, if that's how you truly feel, then if you make the effort you will succeed - unless your just horrible at social engineering. In any event, as I have stated previously the Mogul will never be recalled, but rather phased out as it's replaced by the TouchPro

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Exactly.
I think I had summed it up nicely in the last two sentences of the first post. It's only about fairness. Certainly there will be those that only care about getting a free upgrade, but there will be many more that are thoroughly taken advantage of by their phone carrier. I blame the carriers..you can blame whomever. If the phone carriers don't press HTC for a recall then of course HTC has little motive to recall, and if consumers don't press the carriers for a recall then the carriers have little incentive to push HTC. So the problem starts with us, we the consumer. Yes it is too late in the game to hope for a direct recall. However, as this snowballs it will demonstrate that there needs to be better processes in place for handling these types of issues. Ideally, better quality control in the beginning. Secondly, quicker acknowledgment and assistance to when there is a known issue. Many of us had to go through the spirals of hell (internals of sprint) that I described in the first post and throughout this thread. In the given context, it is unacceptable. |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
I have had the white spots for a long time but when taking it into the repair center 6 months ago they said they don't repair screen damage. Now I am out of the one year warranty. Anybody had any luck with replacement or upgrade after their warranty is up?
