His TP had without a doubt the worst audio quality from the earpiece I have ever heard from any cell phone ever. Not only was the volume way too low, it was buzzy & crackly -it sounded like a 1970's era transistor radio with bad reception. To make matters worse, the case started literally coming apart two days after he got it & the KB didn't work right. He's not sure what to do now. First he said he may just wait for the next generation of hardware to come out & then later he said he might switch to vz just to try a Blackberry Storm. He has already had an iphone & so far anyway he was the happiest with a totally tricked out Titan. ~John |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
again...lol...the problems I see with the TouchPro are not insurmountable.
For solutions to the TouchPro issues look here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42730 I will continue to replace the Mogul, as I suggest everyone else should do, until they upgrade us with the TouchPro as they have already done for some. |

My first ppc phone was the 6700. After a year and 6 refurbs later, my local store manager exchanged the 6700 no questins asked for a mogul. I had the mogul about 1wk before I noticed problems. I contacted ecare and explained everything. They told me to go back to the store and tell the manager that I could exchange it for a HTC Diamond. I took a copy of the email from ecare with me as proof. The store manager refused and said he could not. I asked for the email of the regional manager and explained if ecare promised something then he was going to stand by that. After waiting an hour I went home with a new Diamond. I had the diamond for about a day until I noticed a problem with raised buttons and battery overheating. I took it back to the store and the manager told me they were all like that and to contact the insurance. I explained I paid $7 a mont for TEP on three lines. For $21 a month times 12 months equals $250 a year and I expect him to exchange it on the spot for another diamond under the insurance. After waiting for a tech to do nothing I walk out with another diamond. If other like me pay $299 for a phone and then another $250 a year for insurance for two years, we paided in the end $799 for our phones after two years. I think for money like that we should get better customer service. To make a long story short just keep doing the exchange until they run out or try another store. Might try asking for the email of a regional manager. For some reason they dont want to give it out. Good luck. |

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
I have had hell recently with my mogul in dealing with sprint. I got my mogul back in Aug i would say. Since then i took it back to the sprint store at least 6 times. Each time I had to wait at least a souple of days for them to replace it. Not to mention I use this phone for work. The first time i beleive my hard keys stopped working and could only use the touch screen. Ok cool no problem I have insurance they gave me a refurbished mogul. So i was ok with the first replacement. So then the refurbished one broke had to take it back to the store. They once again replaced it so i had to go through the same thing not being able to use my phone for a couple of days. I called customer service to see what they could do for me. They wanted me to sign a new contract since my contract was up and was going to provide me with the instinct. My thing is why would i sign another contract if this is the way they treat their customers now "horrible" and no type of help. All in all took the refurbished one back to the store and they gave me a new mogul out the box .....so i thought! A couple of days later the hard keys on that one stopped working. The next couple of moguls in which i lost count im not sure what happened to each. Spoke with the insurance company explaining to them how many moguls that i have been through and that I couldn't deal with another one and is there any possible way to get a different phone that would be equivalent to the mogul. After several times going back and forth with sprint and insurance they offered me the touch. The phone would be cool but i wanted my QWERTY keyboard and they said they couldnt offer me any other phone since they claim that the TOuch diamond was the upgrade to the mogul. Which i thought the touchpro would be the upgrade since it also had the QWERTY keyboard. Trying to figure out now who i could contact about this issue, this problem, file a complaint or something not that im sure it would make a differenc. If my other family members didnt have sprint i would have been left their sevice. I pay my bill on time been with them for a while and this is howthey treat their customers. THEY SUCK......... With that said im with you been through all of the crap with sprint and the insurance company....asurion

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
I have one white spot on the lower left corner, but I can only see it when the screen is white in that location. This is my second new titan and I too am lucky, no keyboard issues, freezing ect ect. every once in a while if i move my phone while connected to active sync i'll loose the connection. I could complain and probably get it replaced but I don't want to take the chance of getting a refurb with more issues. I'd love to stop the memory leak (which the hibernate option on quick menu help with) and give this thing more memory, it would be perfect for me. Still great for me though.

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Long story very short (i posted this in another thread as well)
Got my mogul about 2.5 months back. Read in forum about the white spots and contacting ecare on possible upgrade to Touch Pro. Started contacting ecare and taking my phone to local sprint store last week. The store got me a refurb phone, opened it up and it already had white spots. They then talked sprint into sending me a brand new mogul in box, charged my account full price, then credited me all but $1. (No idea why $1, they didn't even ask for my phone in return) As soon as I got my new mogul I didn't even take it out of the box. I called in to customer service again and plead my case to at least 4 different people until I got connected to advanced something, or maybe it was retentions? Heck I can't remember now, too many calls. Anyway I got hooked up with a totally nice girl who at first said she couldn't do anything, but after talking with her and explaining my situation she said that technically they just sold me a new mogul and I could just return it and pay the difference for the Touch Pro. $32 and I have the tracking number for my touch pro. SWEET deal, thanks sprint you rock!

Re: The Last Stand (Force a Mogul Recall)
Its a shame they put us through all that to replace the defective products. In the end we encourage them to continue this by praising them when they help us that are most persistant on this. Unfortunately for the masses they will just continue to live with the problems or pay Sprint for their replacements.

My setups run fast & smooth & all the customizations (especially nue) have made the systems run so well I have no desire whatever to upgrade at this time. Sure, more memory is always good but I can run Sling Mobile & either Google maps in satellite mode or Garmin XT navigating with gps at the same time & if I need to do much more multitasking than that I am going to use my laptop anyway. I get 200 channels of cable TV, both Sirius & XM radio, use a 16 gig card filled with over 500 mp3's & full length movies, manila 2D runs perfectly, MSVC works perfectly with bluetooth, my S9 BT stereo headset works perfectly, youtube plays perfectly, skyfire runs fine, ORB works perfectly etc etc etc After seeing what a POS the new touchpro my boss had briefly was, I have no desire whatever to own one -so I know I can be perfectly content at this point to wait for the next "latest/greatest" device to come out. If the HD ever becomes available I may have to check it out, but I am 100% happy for now. ~John |

^^ You...Go away. Your 6800lb baby is ugly. Just admit it.
You bore me with your boss's allegations blahblahblah. At first I thought you were just a kid, but if you're old enough to work then you should be old enough to handle this and as another poster put it "move on" Raging Idiot Last edited by Raging Idiot; 11-12-2008 at 01:02 PM. |
