Well let's not get exited... maybe it was too late to take out of the rebate form when they made the decision to push it back.

I don't want to to be the devil's advocate, but it is a possible situation and I prefer to say it now that have people complaining because a rebate form had the name on it.

That is fairly spot on, but I kept my $20/mo. Power Vision intact so that my pictures wouldn't magically disappear.

Lets hope this is somekind of typo. I don't want to pay $25 a month for data. and if i did, i would just go to cingular and buy something out of the imate ultimate line. and we all know that the ultimate line (imate) pwns the titan.

I think this is to be eligible for the rebate, not to use internet on the phone.

right, I was just saying, does it make sense for 6800 users to be charged $25? or more? I wasn't aware of a higher plan other than phone-as-modem, and we aren't even sure we can't tether the 6800 like we have the 6700 without having to pay a higher price. just wanted to know if anyone knew of any new pricing plans?

and can the 6700 use either the 20 or $25 power vision plans? I thought they were both a waste due to not being able to use the full capability of those plans?

Everyone can keep their current data plan. In order to be eligible for the $100 Mail-in-rebate, you have to:

1) New activation

OR

2) Upgrade your equipment and be eliglible for a 2yr contract upgrade. (you haven't recieved a discount on a new phone in the last 22+ months)

AND

3) $25 Power Vision Pack.

If you have a PPC6700 and purchased it as a new activation or as a replacement or upgrade with a discount, you DO NOT qualify for the mail-in-rebate since this device has NOT been out for more than 22+ months.

Just got off a sales launch call for Sprint retailers. They made mention of the 755p coming out 5/14, but not a single word on the 6800.

Spoke with a local business rep

Ok, so I guess I will quit just watching a make a contribution. We are meeting with a business rep today to move all of our company phones over to Sprint. According to the rep, we should be able to get our hands on the phone within the next week. I will verify as we are meeting with him in about 30 minutes and let you know then.
