Regardless, this site does seem legit as Worktank is an advertising firm.
I did the same back tracking and I agree that timing and info all seem about right. Like you I really hope this points to the 6800 being released soon.

When the 700wx came out I even got a rep tell me it didn't exist, that the only Treo had the Palm OS and there was no other.
I had the same thing when a few years ago i bought the A940. it had officially been released for two days three sprint stores in the phoenix area all told me it either didnt exist I was thinking hte A900... if i wanted the A940 i had to go to Verizon... I told one to check their website... So i just went and bought it online.

The lesson i learned was that the Sprint sales rep is alot like Radio shack has become... they know very little about their inventory they know the basics of the phones because they can read the placards, and if they dont have it in their stores they really wouldnt know and to them it doesnt exist...

Not sure about everyone else, but I never entered my email address, so why would I be checking my Inbox for updates?

I could think of two things:

1. There is some place or soon will be some place to received updates and when you fill out the form, this site comes up.

2. Perhaps the site was meant for people who received the link via e-mail (e.g. - They already had their names on some e-mail list).

I have a link with the picture of the new Sprint rebate. I have zoomed into the section with the HTC mogul. Can someone please post the link or move the picture into the forum (I can't post a link or a picture for 4 days).

I just noticed the rebate also has the Treo 755p. Unrelated, but interesting.

Evil thought...this is where we will sign up to get notified for the October launch?

It has to be the 6800. We would have known by now if there was another HTC CDMA PDA launching anytime soon. I wonder if they changed the name of it to help reduce confusion with the TyTn GSM device (which would be pronounced the same).

But I fear that this web site and the rebate list are simply remnants of the original ad campaign that was planned back when the device was to launch next week. After all, I think the decision to delay was just made within the last week or so.

Believe me, I hope it's released now as well. But this latest evidence doesn't really contradict the delay stuff.

"requires data plan of $25 or higher"

I thought there were only 3 data plans (without counting PAM option)

$15, $20, and $25 power vision plans. the first one ($15) is the only useful one for wm devices due to the fact we can't use Sprint tv. anybody correct me on this?
