Honostly, If it gets delayed that long, It better not just be WM6 and REVA, it better have the GPS working also. Even though i highly doubt it.

I'm OK with the wait as long as they deliver WM6 and EVDO revA.

Well atleast the upgrade will be "worth it". Sure the new hardware is nice, but not having WM6 and EVDO RevA on the new phone seemed like a wash to me. Plus I will also be a bit closer to the end of my contract with sprint so the phone won't cost so much.

I am just going to continue to try and wait patiently....getting harder though.

Thank you for your condolences.....if the worst case scenario of the rumors prove correct, then it is going to be bad news for Sprint.....VZ releases the 6800 with WM6 at the end of May or first of June with WM6. Sprint Releases the same, but not until October. This will put the release a minimum of nearly 10 months late, that we know about. Especially considering that an effective life cycle of an upper end PDA is probably around a year (unless you are Palm that translates to 3 years) it does not look very optimistic for Sprint having much to draw in or keep customers.

I agree that Sprint is totally missing the boat. It is simple. If they want to draw in more new customers and retain the ones they already have all they have to do is woo them with a nice flashy phone. Sprint used to be on top of the game with this....Treo 600 & PPC-6600 for example. These were great options when compared to what was available at the time. Now we are just begging them to give us last year's model.

But then again maybe they will release next week, actually make due on their promise to upgrade the OS and to Rev A and all this is for nothing. For all you TC'ers out there maybe I should be more like Perry....."I Believe!"

..............okay I am done venting.

I was all excited about picking up a 6800 next week, since my 6700 is on it's last legs. Now I need to reconsider.

I'm thinking about jumping to the darkside and going GSM. Deals can be had on the HTC Universal/QTek 9000/O2 Exec. WM6 ROMs are already out there, and it's a true VGA device. Downside is, 3G sucks compared to EVDO, and the device doesn't have anymore memory than a 6700. Also, it's the same 1.3 camera and WiFi is 802.11b, just like the 6700.

Not sure what to do!

Wow i called *2 today and they said something outrages as coming out summer of 08, and then i called again and someone said that he went online and it didn't have an exact date, but it should be next month. I think sprint is just fondling our sacks just cause they know we want it.
