WoW, not much bigger then a RAZR you say? I'm so looking forward to seeing this phone in person when sprint rolls it out in the US. Also, I think they did an awesome job with the layout of the phone, Just by looking around that PDF manual, All those extra hardware buttons, L33Tsauce!

Here's a comparison picture for you for now beside the 6700. I will have a complete review up in the coming days.

And of course the P4000 itself:

The backlighting is good. It comes on when you open the keyboard in a low light area. You don't have to hit a key to get the light on.

SWEET. And the backlight is white, illuminating the symbols in blue, right? I'm telling you it's the little things that make all the difference for me.

WOW... OMG!!! It's beautiful!

I agree with luv2chill, it's the small things.

And that is why I am all over this when my time comes.

I will hand it to HTC, it seems like they really are listening to their customers and take their suggestions seriously. It appears most of the "issues" some people had with the 6700 are addressed:

Small, loose stylus
No backlight for the numbers
No BT 2.0
Pretty thick "brick" in size
Obtrusive external antenna
Too small of a NAV input (joystick)
No scroll wheel/jog dial

Now if the 6900 will have a stand alone Sirf GPS chip, be thinner/smaller yet, and not have proprietary audio cable, I'll be 100% content. 6700 gets the job done, 6800 is d@mn close!

For what it's worth, I talked to two Sprint "corporate store" techs yesterday, and they both told me that the 6800 should be in-store within the next three weeks. I couldn't nail a date out of them, but they all agreed independently on "late April, early May".
