Re: Mogul problem answering calls

I ran into the same issue you have, It came to be a issue with rom, and then the next time I had it, it turned out to be the answer button. Normally What will cause this is a rom issue and a bad dailer skin/ install. To repair it attempt a hard reset, if that does not do it, reflash the rom, if all else fails - grab a frying pan some eggs, bacon and go to the kitchen

Re: Mogul problem answering calls

same problem. i too thought i had toasted the answer key. my problem started when i switched from one cooked rom to another. and now on another rom i still face it. also my probelm is not sporadic, its always there. soft reset does not change anything. also the answer key does not bring up the phone. and if i ahve to dial a number, there is no option, because there is no dialing option. i have to save any new number to contacts and then dial it. will flash one more time with an older tested rom and see if it solves anything.

Seems that the 6.1 update reset some of the device settings that are service provider specific. I did the re-program with the Sprint representative and now the phone works perfectly. I hope this makes sense to you all.
Can you describe some of the reprograming steps?

Re: Mogul problem answering calls

My 6700 used to do the same thing, vzw replaced it, and a week later that one did the same. both stock roms, heck that was before i started modding. they upgraded me to the 6800 after the second time. works perfect thankfully. Running dcd 3.2.6 and radio 3.35. soft key will answer, green phone, and i use S2U2 and use the slide to answer function and it works.

Re: Mogul problem answering calls

I have the problem where the hard button doesn't work, but the on screen button does work. I am going to flash back to the stock rom to see if that fixes the problem.

Re: Mogul problem answering calls

I started having this a month or two ago.

I wonder if there is a network issue going on, or a popular ap/tweak/radio that many of us are doing causing this. Because I have not seen this problem on the board as a widespread problem till now.

I kinda want the diamond ( like everyone).

Sounds like if I were having such trouble that I would be willing to at least try a custom rom. I've been reading your posts and you sound like you hate custom roms, but now it looks like you've never tried one. Whatever glitch you might get with a custom rom sounds like it couldn't be much worse than missing half your phone calls. IMO

Re: Mogul problem answering calls

It's either the ROM or software. If you cook a clean ROM it's possible it would work.

My guess is your CPU is overloaded from having 20 bajillion thing to do and it's quicker to process the touchscreen Answer button versus the hardware green button.

Smile Re: Mogul problem answering calls

Don't hate custom roms I just havent found a great one I want to use No chems if possible but I cant find the damn thing. I tried his site and I couldn't find the actual rom just a bunch of files in the rom folder. If anyone could post it here I have looked and noone has actually posted a dl-able link.

It seems like it has fixed so far since I am using S2U2 for my default phone answering software instead of windows mobile with those annoying lil pop ups in the corner. doesnt waste a whole bunch more memory I am usually at like 24 at start up and 17 normal usage which is ok for what I do plus disbabling alot of stuff at start up makes it so much quicker even if you have to soft reset.
