Re: windows mobile 6.1 question

Apparently you just remove the ".zip" from the files. But I have more questions myself:

1. Do you install the files on main or storage memory?

2. Does it matter which file you tap to activate first and do you need to soft reset between taps?

3. Does it also work on the VZW xv6800 Titans?

Re: windows mobile 6.1 question

You just rename the extension or whatever. I just install to the phone directory.

Cruz: Are you talking about when you first run the update? I would guess that you need to run the customizations but I ain't sure with GPS because I use Alltel. But yeah it works.

Re: windows mobile 6.1 question

Argh. I just updated from the last stock WM 6.0 to the latest stock WM 6.1 and while Opera 9.5 runs much better, TCPMP plays DivX horribly. Previously large sized files would only skip during action sequences, now even during talking sequences the frame rate is 4fps... I've tried all the video drivers listed... Is there some optimization I have so far forgotten to install?

Nevermind. I just got the CorePlayer on the stock 6.1 ROM and it seems to do even better than TCPMP did on the stock 6.0 ROM. As such, I guess I am

This site wont let you upload .cab files, but it will let you upload .zip files, so an easy way around this limitation is to ad .zip to the end of cab files. So after you download from this site to your device or computer, simply rename by removing .zip

Re: windows mobile 6.1 question

Graham: If you don't have resco explorer or another utility to manipulate the name and the extension of a file in the PPC, rename the file in the PC. If you can not rename in the PC you need to double click My computer, and from the top menu under Tools, select Folder options, Uncheck the selection box that reads "Hide the extension for known files". After this you will be able to delete the .zip extension after the .CAB ( As reekolu said, he files are not zipped, just renamed with an extra extension .zip). Then load he files to your PPC.

That was exactly my problem! Thank you soo much!! Now I can transport them over to the phone and hopefully get youtube working again. Especially tcmp since it wont open after 6.1 upgrade.
