Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

I finally found the problem. There was a box checked that only shows diagnostic ports. Once I unchecked that, the phone showed up.

Thanks,

Buddy

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

After following all the instructions I still couldn't get gps to work on my Alltel Touch.

I followed the link to http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...VerizonAGPSFix and found that phone location must be set to "location on". Shazam it works now!!

My current Phone info is as follows:
Model No.: VOGU100
Platform: PocketPC

ROM Ver: 3.04.671.2
ROM Date: 04/09/2008
Radio Ver.: 3.37.10
Protocol version: DCAAXAM-4350H
Hardware Ver.: 0001
PRL Ver.: 30033
PRI Ver.: 2.01_011

Thanks for the help as I migrate from my ppc6800 to the Touch.

having your gps already enabled is a REQUIREMENT for this fix.

Re: Alltel GPS with A-GPS - super fast lockon

So you have the Alltel Touch with the same specs and did not do the Alltel 6800 ROM update and got the internal GPS to work on your Alltel Touch?

I tried just the 4 files w/o the ROM update and it did not find any satellites with Google Maps or Windows Live Maps. as my Alltel 6800 did after its ROM WM6.1 update.

How did you get you Touch w/ WM 6.0 to work?

Thanks,
bimerguy

you can not put a ROM made for the 6800 on the 6900.

try going back to gps easy way thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=27180

check the troubleshooting section.

i updated it today.
