I wouldnt. The new phones are coming out within the next two months. Wait for the rapheal. It will have a better screen and a faster cpu. You will be kicking yourself if you buy a 6800 now.

The Raphael will likely go for around $400-500 if I had to guess vs the $250 for a 6800. Too much coin for a cell phone when you could pick up a decent laptop for that much. I will have to wait until it comes down before getting that one.

Slow down, no one is talking about going out and buying one, maybe as an insurance upgrade but not at full price

I am getting a 6800 as an insurance replacement. It's going to be here on Tuesday, someone said it was bit more painful to install a custom rom on it. Is there anything special I need to do before I activate the phone to install my custom rom? I've been cooking up roms for the Apache since the kitchen was released. So, if there's anything that's much different with the mogul please let a brother know so I can start preparing before hand.

You wil need to unlock it. The cooking and installing is the same. It also depends on your provider. If you have VZW and it has the latest release you will have to do some extra to get the GPS working. They have it blocked for VZnavigator only. Read the tutorial I have linked in my signature and you will find all you need to do the proceess.

get the 6800 if you don't want to wait for the next big thing... the software on the 6800 is refined much better than when it first came out

You can get a repuatable 1.5Ghz+ dual core with 2-3gb of RAM, a DL/Lightscribe burner with a 15in screen for around that price all day.
