Help me before I lose it!
How in God's name do I back up my @*&^%ing contacts. I have tried ActiveSync with both Outlook 2007 and Express: No Go. I'm not even going to pretend I understand FinchSync and Thunderbird. All I want/need is a Frakking program that will allow me to back up my contacts to my PC, preferably via USB. This situation has gotten to the point that I literally want to throw my Mogul against the wall. PLEASE HELP! I'm running the WM6.1 Beta still, since it seems to be better than the "official" update, if this helps.

Is active sync running for you. Give me some backgroud as to what you tried with acvtive sync.

For some reason outlook wont save my contacts either unless I open it first then close it then run activesync. Try it and see what happens.

Also check your pins where your mini usb connects with the phone. You should have 5 across the top and 5 across the bottom. You might need a flashlight to see. I had a similar problem and for some reason one of the pins was busted off. Check that first, that my be your problem. If you just bought the phone you should be able to get a replacement with no problems.
My phone would charge USB, but would not sync. Not too familiar with ActiveSync, since I am on Vista and use Windows Mobile Device Center.

When I sync my phone I have trouble with my contacts syncing on the first sync. I always have, even in the Apache days. So what I do is go to options and select everything I want to sync except contacts. After that sync is done I go back to options and select contacts and they sync fine.

GA. Medic: ActiveSync runs, and appears to sync, but then it says it failed to sync to my computer. Same with my calendar.

I can't use the "sync everything but the contacts" method, because when I go to uncheck it, ActiveSync says that, in order to continue, it must remove all contacts on my Mogul. I do have it set to where the Mogul takes priority over desktop in conflicts.
