Speed in sig
Not my fastest... my fastest was on speedtest.net but the testmy.net test is a lot more accurate since it was downloading 25MB

Re: what speeds are you getting
Why are you testing through the Chicago server if you're in Kansas, if you don't mind my asking? I figured the nearest server would yield the best results. As for things that could affect speed, doesn't the amount of local traffic have a big impact? My best test (see sig) was done later in the evening (~11:15pm) when not many people would be bogging down the network.

Re: what speeds are you getting
I had thought that as well, but if you look at the distance he tested from, it's roughly 550 miles. It doesn't necessarily mean he's in Kansas (I guessed he was since he said he's from there), but I figured there would have to be a closer server from wherever he tested from. In any case, I think I just disproved my original theory about distances and speeds. I ran a test from my work computer to the Chicago server and got lower speeds than my 2nd test which was using the Kansas City server. |

Re: what speeds are you getting
Chicago always seems faster. The distance you should worry about is from you to the tower.
