Re: Anyone know how to make a picture template?
Wow I really thought it would be easy when I first looked at it..and it probably is but I just cant figure it out..
I read a tutorial on how to make them but I still cant figure it out. Here http://www.modaco.com/content/smartp...-photo-themes/ That tutorial is just about 4 years old and all the images showing progress are gone so its really hard to figure it out.. Its something like an animated gif file though with some sort of layer mask. Anyhow if somebody knows how please share cuz Id like to make some myself. Or Ill keep trying to understand how to do it when I get a minute every now and then. |

Re: Anyone know how to make a picture template?
Yes sir I knew Id get it...
Weeew I figured it out totally by accident when I was working on another animated gif file.. What I had to do was get an image in this case it was the fail stamp. And set it on a transparent background. Then make a new layer colored completely black on top of that layer. Now it will cover the first layer. Then I selected just the stamp on the bottom layer. Switched to the top layer while still leaving the selection active. Then I cut out the black which was on top of the stamp. Then the stamp showed through the top layer. I know I lost alot of people. I pretty much lost myself trying to write that.. I then saved as an animated gif file. In gimp there is a selection for frame disposal. Set that on cumulative(combine) and the delay to 0ms. Then your all set with the image. Copy that to the templates folder. And your ready to take some failed pics...lol So here it is in a zip folder. Edit: Heres the pic that I tested it with.
