I had assumed that I would be able to overclock the xv6800 also but I guess not Does anyone know how a xv6800 at stock speed compares to a xv6700 running at 520mhz? This may affect my decision to either replace or upgrade, although the increased memory & built in GPS (currently using a bluetooth GPS) may be enough for me to upgrade anyways.
Performance of the Qualcomm based 6800 is a signficant step back from the 6700, but not unusable by any means. RAM is equivalent, but you will get a nice bump in onboard storage space. GPS is great. RevA speeds alone are worth the upgrade for me. The 6800 is also quite a bit slimmer. Overall, I think the 6800 is a very worthy upgrade from the 6700, but you will notice a small decrease in performance (mainly noticeable in Nav programs or when trying to play higher res video).
