Bluetooth issue after upgrade

I upgraded to the 6.1 and now my bluetooth will not sync with my other phone. Since I can't back up my contacts I store them on an old phone (Sanyo M1) and then bluetooth them over. I did it a couple of times previously with no issues. Now after the upgrade it won't work. The devices claim they pair since both list each other in the paired devices. When I try to send from the M1 it says the device isn't available. I've tried numerous times to re-pair and tried discovering both ways. Any ideas?
