Green Phone button stopped working. Way to test without reflashing?

I'm running a kitchened rom, but I haven't made any changes that I can think about for a few weeks. My green phone button has stopped working Does anyone know which registry key defines this button so I can double check it? I want to make sure it hasn't somehow gotten mucked up before I resort to reflashing with a stock rom (to test and/or to submit for repair).

Or, is there another way to do a hardware test of the button? In the short term, I've remapped my messaging button to phone
