Is this right? I think I killed my first Vogue by using my TomTom charger that outputs at, I think, 2 amps. Buttons started working eratically and it stopped consistently accepting a charge, even from the OEM HTC wall charger I had. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes not. Same with my PC USB charge/sync cable. I have the impression that pushing too much amperage through the phone burned up some circuitry.

I'm now hesitant to use a non-OEM charger with my new vogue, but if you say the motorola chargers push through less power, they should be ok? I've got the moto SYN1630a charger, and there's no indication anywhere on it as to the power it outputs.

mini USB chargers are not universally the same. Some are 1 amp while others are 0.5 amps.

Also, if you plug in a non-Motorola charger into a Razr, it will not charge the phone. It will say - unauthorized charger
