Can someone help me with this GetSPC program

It's suppose to allow you to get your MSL number but when I run the program it just gives a Input/Output field and OK. I'm missing something but have no idea what.

Any help is appreciated. Seems like everyone else has done this with no problem so I gotta be missing something.

Here are the directions:

Enabling PAM (Phone as Modem) Connection
  1. You must first have the MSL number for your phone. The MSL unlock code is used for programming your phone yourself, and is unique for every phone. You can retrieve the MSL for your phone by using the GetSPC application. It's essentially a keygen that calculates what the MSL should be from the hexadecimal ESN (case-sensitive). You can download it from HERE. Otherwise you can call Sprint technical support, tell them you're a developer, and you need the MSL number for your phone.
  2. Open up your dialer, and dial in ##3282#
  3. A window should open, select Edit
  4. Enter in your MSL from step 1, and press the OK button (left softkey)
  5. Select the line that has the value MIP_Mode under the Item column
  6. Press the Menu button (right softkey) and choose Edit
  7. Change the value from from Mobile IP Only to Mobile IP Preferred
  8. Press the OK button (left softkey) and soft reset when it tells you to.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't want to call sprint so I'm asking here.

Re: Can someone help me with this GetSPC program

SPC is looking for a eight-digit string, your devices ESN in Hexadecimal. Be sure to enter it with capital letters! Get your Hex-ESN in the settings tab -> Device Information.

And the file is located here, the exe and dll...

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=156

You put your hex-esn in the top box, then hit the button, and your msl is in the output. If you are still having troubles, pm me your hex-esn and I'll return your msl...

Re: Can someone help me with this GetSPC program

The only thing you need to do to get your ESN, is just dial #778##. Click View, and then just copy down your Hex ESN, its on the first screen that comes up. CAPS doesn't make a difference from what I've experienced.
