How the hec does the Treo 700wx running WM6 have 2X the free ram of a 6800?

I just set my dad up with a 700wx running wm6 and he has over 35MB ram free after soft reset.
How the heck did they do that?!?!
The most I've ever seen for a titan is about 22mb and that was a super stripped down rom.
He's running a LOADED version of wm6 with all the bells and whistles!
There must be something we can do to manage memory as efficiently as the Treo for the sake of all that is holy!!

I can get 25 MB free on my Mogul after a soft reset with Oxios Hibernate. Stock Sprint ROM. 35 is pretty impressive on the Treo, though.

not just more memory after boot, the thing is way faster than my mogul even after my performance tweaks!
i may look into the 800w for myself.

That is what I miss about my 700wx, it was real snappy. The other thing I miss is that I never had any trouble with activesync and exchange. I didn't like the nub antenna and something else came out, so I am stuck with my mogul until the end of this year.

I heard the 800w is a power house, the only short comings of it is the same old tired design, the same small square screen, and the the new 320x320 resolution really makes some apps hard to use. Other than that I heard it's the fastest PPC on the market this side of CDMA.

It's times like now that i wish anton finished the new pocket hack master so we could finally overclock our 6800's.
Anyway, back to the 700wx, is it the ram available that makes it so much more responsive? the cpu is significantly slower then our 6800s

is the 700w a smartphone, not a ppc? (ie, no touch screen?) if so, then that is a fairly different (and smaller) WinMo 6 build.
