Well there is a post here that linked to a Menysis article that said the palm is using a video driver, I wonder if that would make some of the difference...

Um... the 700wx has 128MB of ram where the Mogul as 64MB of ram.

I think you're confusing the 700w and 700wx. The 700w came with 64MB of ram. The 700wx came with 128MB. Websites like PhoneScoop.com continue to label both has 64MB of ram.

Look at your ram usage and it should be clear.

I'm looking at my treo 700wx and under program memory it says 57.35MB total.

According to palm only 60MB of it is accessible. I would assume the rest goes for the OS.

Nope. Incorrect. You're confusing storage memory (flash) and program memory (RAM).

The 700w has 32mb of program memory (RAM) with ~25mb user available at boot, and 64mb of storage memory (flash) with 32mb user available.

The 700wx has 64mb of program memory (RAM) with 57.5mb user available at boot, and 128MB of storage memory (flash) with 63mb user available.

So, we haven't come up with a reason why the 700wx's ROM takes up so little RAM to run. The 700wx has 64mb of program memory (RAM) just like the Titan.

No, that is incorrect. Please take a look at Palm's website. The total amount of memory is shared between storage and ram.

The 700wx has 128MB of memory. 60MB are available for the user. The rest is used as storage and ram for the OS. The 700w is the same with less memory.

Both the 700w and 700wx use the memory as ram and storage.
