Re: Program RAM and Not Giving Back Program RAM
I agree with Dwizzy I use a combo of Quickmenu and Oxios.....also you could try flashing some of the custom roms.....I am running NO2Chem 2.2 Pre 7 and I never have less than 20mb....that is the best I have found....at boot up it is at 26mb

Re: Program RAM and Not Giving Back Program RAM
I use SK tools free-up RAM to free-up extra RAM and Iaccarino's Mobile Task Manager to close tasks that eat up RAM, such as "phone". Be sure to use something that truly closes programs instead of just minimizing them in the background. I use WisBar for that, but there are other options that do the same thing.

Re: Program RAM and Not Giving Back Program RAM
I am running no2chem's 5067 ROM and it seems to do a good job of limiting what RAM gets left out in the ether. A few times a day I'll open the dotFred task manager and force apps to close that I had closed earlier. PIE is really bad at sucking up 1-2M after it's been closed. Comm Manager is good for another 650k-1M. There are other processes running whos purposes I'm unsure of and I would love to know what they are, but with the older ROM's I was lucky to be running between 15 and 18M free. Lately I've been between 20-24M free. Not the most automatic solution, but one that works and isn't very time consuming.
